Judith Gollings wrote to me saying: When I visited this tree in 2005, there were verification certificates inside the church. HTH, Jon Gadsden (verifier for Somerset)
The certificate inside the church says: "The Conservation Foundation. Yew Tree Campaign. This is to certify that using all the data we have to hand the age of the Yew tree at Ashbrittle is 3000 yrs. Signed Robert Cantuar, Alan Meredith, Robert Hardy, David Bellamy".
