Further to the recording of this tree, I've added some photos to assist in the verification & identification of this old man. There are photos of the whole tree & close ups of the trunk & the "bowl" from which the main branches spread.
I visited this tree two days ago & tragically found it fallen (05/10/13). Some branches had been sawn off but there were still green leaves on others. A sad loss of an old friend.
