Since recording earlier this year (2023), the Woodland Trust made the decision to cut down the tree for safety reasons as it was close to a path. Hopefully the fallen trunk (left on site) will provide new habitat for insects and small animals as it decays down. The stump (approx. 1.5m high) has epicormic growth with new leaves. Hopefully this will count as a pollard situation for the tree.
