The Skipinnish Oak was announced as the winner of the 2024 UK Tree of the Year competition. Hidden away in a Sitka spruce plantation in Lochaber, Scotland, this tree was named after the Skipinnish ceilidh band whose members discovered it while at the Native Woodlands Discussion Group.
