This is one of the few survivors of the Cherkley Court Yews, a formerly famous yew grove which was wrecked by storms after the late 19th century. You can only visit them if you are a guest at Beaverbrook, or are patronising its facilities. The little valley containing the trees is now called Basecamp -ask staff for directions. Sensible footwear recommended.
