I do not want this tree to be cut down! It is too beautiful. And we need all the trees we can, for our wildlife, to stop climate change, and because it simply has a right to be here.
Felled despite 62 objections including those from Woodland Trust, Town and District Councillors and a suggested root barrier to retain the tree. 180 annual growth rings counted on the sawn trunk.
