Historic Environment Scotland have laser scanned this tree to create a 3D model (See https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/beauly-elm-bf14d2bdc7604599bddf5aad549959ec). The tree is believed to be around 800 years old and making it one of the oldest Wych Elms in Europe. The tree has been suffering from Dutch elm disease in recent years and very little of its fabric is living material (reported as estimated at 5% in 2021). Visited in Sept 2021 and no sign of leaves or fresh growth. Tree marked as dead The dead stump collapsed in early Jan 2023
