As per my previous comment the measurement for this tree is clearly over-estimated. David Alderman visited after my referral in Nov 2001 and measured the tree carefully recording it as 10.15m at 1.2m. This was very close to my own measure of 10.27m (Dec 2001). I cannot see it growing that much and suggest that the above includes the Burrs at 1.5m. Ian Retson - Nov. 2020.
Visited today 23/3/21 with David Logan (WT Site Manager National Forest). Measured at 11.02m at 1.3m. Tree still in excellent condition.
girth revised to 11.02m (from a reported 11.36m in 2016) based on Ian Retson and David Logan's measurements taken March 2021
